There are several factors believed to contribute to pain, such as inflammation. However, recent research finds that there may be other factors that trigger the onset of the symptom.

Experts reveal that one’s mental health may determine arthritis pain. In a new study, the researchers reveal that the amount of pain experienced by sufferers of degenerative joint diseases, such as osteoarthritis, may be directly related to their mental health.

The University of California-Davis School of Medicine researchers found out that individuals with better mental health experience less pain. Those with worse mental health also feel more severe pain.
