(Presseportal openBroadcast) - The Richards Trauma Process (TRTP) uses hypnosis to help people suffering from Post-Traumatic Stress Disorder,to feel safe and empowered.

March 11, 2016 – Free from PTSD has introduced The Richards Trauma Process for people who feel depressed, stressed, anxious, or who have been diagnosed with Post-Traumatic Stress Disorder (PTSD). The cutting-edge therapy incorporates hypnosis to help people deal with unprocessed events, gain control of their emotions and resolve the trauma. Therapy is available from psychologist, hypnotist, and TRTP specialist, Crispian Jones via face-to-face or Skype sessions.

The Australian Centre for Posttraumatic Mental Health has estimated 5% to 10% of Australians will be diagnosed with PTSD at some point in their lives. That adds up to about 2.4 million people, just in Australia. Those in “frontline” services are at the highest risk, but no one is excluded. In fact, domestic violence is one of the biggest causes of PTSD.

People often realize when they have depression, and certainly panic attacks, but many are in the dark about PTSD. The prevalent symptoms include:

Frequent, sudden anxiety and/or panic attacks.
Discomfort in crowded places.
Depression, stress, or lack of sleep plus difficulty coping with everyday situations.
Hyper-vigilance. Always prepared in case some envisioned scenario happens.
Repeatedly re-running movies of past events.
Addictive habits such as smoking, over-eating, doing drugs, gambling, or drinking.
Suicidal thoughts.

For anyone who has had a combination three of these symptoms for three months or longer, the cause could be PTSD. The underlying causes can include depression, anxiety or even unresolved grief. Free from PTSD’s TRTP is used to resolve such feelings and unprocessed events, allowing the brain to process information and store it as a memory.

When the brain does not put experiences into the past, one can re-live events over and over again in one’s mind. It creates a sense of things happening all over again, in the present. The effects are physical as well. In fact, the body goes into the “Fight, Flight or Freeze” (FFF) response, leaving one feeling ready to run away, fight, or freeze up, if the event is too much to comprehend at the time.

Biologically, blood flow increases to the muscles, flooding the body with cortisol and adrenaline. Stress levels go up. It might just be momentarily; people process stress and the traumatic situation, and it resolves. The FFF helps people cope with the ups and downs of normal life. But sometimes a person cannot process the situation or event, they can feel revved up all the time and get stuck in that FFF state.A looping effect, begins and leaves a person in a constant state of flight, fright, or freeze state and ridden with panic attacks, depression, anger, rage, and addictions – and PTSD evolves.

With TRTP, the brain can process unresolved events in two ways: 1.) it helps the body know the event is over, and 2.) and it allows the person empowered over the event or events. Current psychological treatments have gone beyond “lying on the couch” to include therapies that work faster and are more successful. The Richards Trauma Process incorporates hypnosis, focuses on enabling the brain to store events as past memories and does so safely and quickly.

Psychologist, hypnotist, and TRTP specialist Crispian Jones is available for sessions and works face to face or via Skype (pawnee52). Call +61 7 40414147 for more information or to book a session. More details and a free report are available at
