(Presseportal openBroadcast) - National Fireproofing Supply Co. introduces its Flamex PF-1 Fire Retardant Spray, a fire retardant spray specifically formulated for interior unfinished wood, paper and other cellulose materials, which is non-toxic, odorless and easy to apply.

When properly applied, wood treated with Flamex PF-1 will char from heat, but will burn slowly or not catch fire under normal conditions. It makes homes constructed with dimensional lumber far less likely to suffer serious structural damage in case of a fire.

In 2016, there were 352,000 residential structure fires in the U.S. Ask any firefighter, and he will tell you: when they break out, today’s fires burn hotter and faster than they used to.

Much of that accelerated fire growth comes from the kind of materials used in current lightweight construction.

National Fireproofing Supply Co. products comply with the ASTM, NFPA, and UL Standard specifications. With nearly two decades of experience, the company offers application and testing on numerous materials
including textiles, interior and exterior wood, wall penetrations, and duct sealing.

Our clients include airlines, the construction industry, contract painters and decorators, work-wear manufacturers, schools, universities, hotels, and more.

Founded in 1998, National Fireproofing supplies a full range of fire retardant products which include fire retardant sprays, fire retardant caulk, and fire retardant putty, and, through its extensive knowledge, continual research and experience, offers expert advice to individuals while providing the necessary tools to prevent worst-case scenarios.
